HOW DO I SHIP MY FRESH-CAUGHT FISH HOME?

One of the main perks of charter fishing in Alaska is being able to bring home some of the world’s finest fish. Then you get to prepare and share it with friends and family to eat in your own home. Sometimes prepping all that fish you’re going to catch in order to ship it all home can be a challenge, not to mention time-consuming. Thankfully, there are a few ways to get your fish to you after your trip. Cleaning and Packaging Your Fresh Fish That You Just Caught When you finish a long day on the sea, the last thing you want to do is go through the arduous process of cleaning and packaging your catch. We work exclusively with Ketchikan’s largest sport fishing processor, Cedars Lodge.

We will coordinate with them to ensure your fish is professionally processed, flash frozen, and transferred safely to your home. This is a highly developed industry in Southeast Alaska, and we can ship your catch safe and secure every time.

What About If I’m A Cruise To Alaska? If you are on a cruise ship, we can schedule your fish to arrive home when you do. If you are flying, we will make sure your fish is secured in a freezer box so that it can be checked on your flight home. Processing rates run around $2.00 per pound plus shipping. This is the way to go to ensure your catch arrives safely at home.

When processed properly, your fish will keep for up to a year in the freezer. We want you to enjoy this trip, long after you’ve left Alaska with all the fishing memories.
